Mounting Details Paper (artwork) mounted on dark green-patterned silk; narrow silk "ichimonji" brocade top/bottom; silver silk brocade hanging "futai" at top; IVORY end-pieced bottom roller.
Condition Good++. Half-inch area of wear at top stick, few small spots top and bottom silk; some fading, light wear and minor flaws. Some curling, typical of scroll mounts.
Comments A striking pose of a "ghost-like" white heron wading amidst tall reeds--nicely mounted as a hanging scroll. A unique, true one-of-a-kind artwork.
