| Impression |
Very Fine. Skillfully executed "bokashi" shading throughout print; extensive "gauffrage"
(embossing) to snow-cover roof, building, trees, and forground snow; strongly visible woodgrain
in sky; baren "sujizuri" tracings to foreground snow; crisp key-lines, highly detailed carving. |
| Condition |
Excellent. Bright fresh colors. Very clean front and verso. (Tiny area
minor rubbing right foreground snow--otherwise absolutely flawless.) |
| Reference/Illus |
Narazaki #151; Hotei #151. |
| Comments |
Strikingly beautiful. Very early--one of Hasui's finest early snowscenes.
1926 "First Edition" printing. Rarely seen. |
