Comments |
A colorful and beautiful rendition of an earlier 1919 pre-Earthquake design
whose blockset was lost to the fires of 1923's Great Earthquake.
Newly reissued in 2012 by Watanabe using a recaved blockset (the first such
re-carving done--denoted by an entirely new Watanabe "seal" seen right margin).
Other such recently reissued Hasui prints are discussed in
"June 2002 - Five Additional Hasui Prints
Re-issued by Watanabe." |
