Impression Very Fine. Superbly executed "bokashi" shading to trees and foreground; light "gauffrage" to trees and house; nicely visible "woodgrain" to sky; highly detailed carving.
Condition Excellent. Excellent colors. Very clean front and verso. (Light toning; possibly some very slight wear.) All prints within this 1947 collection have never been displayed -- stored flat past 71 years.
Reference/Illus Hotei #481.
Comments A peaceful rural scene dating to 1946 and collected 1947 -- hence a "First Edition" printing. A seldom seen Hasui design with delightful "woodgrain" seen in upper sky area.
From a 1947 Tokyo Japan military collection.
